The Martha Cooper Library was a new learning center and library in Tucson’s Midtown Garden District. WDG's scope for the project included hardscape, planting, and irrigation design. WDG partnered with Burns and Wald-Hopkins Architects, the Midtown Garden District Neighborhood Association, and the Tucson Botanical Garden. The collaborative team developed a courtyard design which included group gathering areas, passive recreation opportunities, shaded seating, and children’s play and demonstration gardens. Plant species at Martha Cooper Library attract pollinator species, creating a vibrant and sustainable landscape at the Library and within the greater community.
