The 0.64 mile Sunset Road project creates a new connection between Interstate 10 and Silverbell Road, with a new bridge across the Santa Cruz River. WDG was involved with the Visual Assessment Report, plantings plans in compliance with Pima County Environmentally Sensitive Roadway Guidelines, irrigation plans, riparian mitigation plans, erosion control plans, and participation in public meetings. The project includes a three-lane roadway, sidewalks/pathways on either side of Sunset Road, and current/future connections to The Loop.
